Our Clubs

The Windmills Seniors Club

This lively and active seniors club enjoys conversation, playing cards, billiards, shuffleboard, knitting, sewing, arts & crafts and even traveling together.

The Windmills (as they are affectionately known) meet every Thursday afternoon during the winter season and always welcome new members (55 & up).

The DCC Auxilliary

This amazing group of dynamos organizes and oversees most of the functions of the DCC. This group also works diligently to prepare and sell the delicious Dutch foods seen at all of our events. Anyone who wants to join in may participate.

The Billiard Club

Do you like to play a game of billiards? At the DCC Centre our billiard club members meet every Wednesday evening during the winter season. They enjoy fun and friendship while playing competitive billiards against each other.

Concordia Concert Band

This band plays its own brand of melodious music in the Edmonton area, at DCC functions, and other events, much to the delight of all involved. Band members meet each Thursday evening in the main hall of the DCC centre.

Harmonika Rascals

This unique group of Harmonica players gets together every Monday evening for a jamming session and holds gigs at hospitals, senior centres, and many other places and is always welcome entertainment at our own cultural events.

Klompendansers

If you are 3 years old or 80 or in between and love to dance, we have a group for you to join. Our children meet on Monday nights and the Adult group meets every Tuesday night for rehearsals. The group performs traditional Dutch Folk Dances at various locations for cultural and other events. New members are always welcome.

Dutch Language Classes

The DCC offers Dutch language classes every spring and fall with classes for beginners and advanced students. The qualified instructors make learning the language fun and practical.

The Sons Of Norway

Sons of Norway Solglyt Lodge #143, offers a variety of social, cultural and sports activities of interest to men, women and young people interested in Norwegian heritage. These include craft nights, cultural workshops and special events such as Lutefisk Supper (in January) and Syttende Mai (May 17th) Banquet. Lodge Meetings with a cultural component are held on the second Tuesday of each month, September to June.
